DICKS-Entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 24, 2011, Mr. Wyman Dicks, age 64 of Warrenville, S.C., loving husband for 41 years to Elsie Kirkland Dicks and son of the late F. H. Dicks and the late Ruth Hydrick Dicks Sanders. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Forrest H. Dicks and his wife, Dodie of North Augusta, S.C. and Jonathan R. Dicks of Warrenville, S.C.; a brother, Henry F. Dicks and his wife, Delores of Beech Island, S.C. and a granddaughter, Brooke Hatcher. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah D. Rivers. Wyman was born in Augusta, Ga., but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He retired from Aiken Electric Coop after 33 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Langley First Baptist Church, where he was an inactive deacon, and he also served as their RA Director for many years. He was the RA Director for the Aiken Baptist Association. He was a member of the Horse Creek Masonic Lodge #174. He was a Shriner with Jamil Temple in Columbia, S.C., a member of Midland Valley Lions Club, where he served as Tail Twister for many years. He was also a Water Commissioner for Valley Public Service Authority. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; and needless to say, he shall be greatly missed by his family, many friends and all whose lives he touched during the 64 years that God granted him on this earth. A celebration of his life service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Langley First Baptist Church in Langley, S.C. with Rev. Ken Garvin officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. with Masonic Rites. The pallbearers will be Billy Dicks, Jimmy Rivers, Michael Rivers, Robert Feaster, Bubba Smith and Roscoe Hightower. Honorary pallbearers will be L. L. Willis, Marion Neal, Jimmy Derrick, Roy Parrish and members of Masonic Lodge #174. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, January 27th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Wyman will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S. C. is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
