GREEN-Willie M. “Bill” Green, Jr., age 65, of North Augusta, S.C., loving husband for 43 years to Ruth Barbee Green and son of the late Willie M. Green, Sr. and the late Mildred Knight Green Wilson, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepfather, Bobby T. Wilson of Bath, S.C.; his sons, Willie M. Green, III of North Augusta, S.C., Michael D. Green of Virginia and his girlfriend, Starr; a daughter, Tammy Pritchett of Graniteville, S.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Tommy Pritchett of North Augusta, S.C.; a brother-in-law, Pete Duffie of Warrenville, S.C. four grandchildren, Dakota, Ean, Dylan, Tyler and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Dale Duffie and June Duffie. He was born in Aiken County, S.C. He was a member of the Graniteville Church of God. He was also a member of the Shriners, the DAV and the Masonic Lodge #166. He was a US Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. His wife stated that they had a wonderful marriage, and that he was the love of her life, a great father, grandfather, brother and friend. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 65 years that God granted him on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Saturday evening, May 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life and home going will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. W. H. Bryant and Rev. C.B. Turner officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. Memorials, in his honor, may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, S.C. 29605.
