William Roy Moxley

MOXLEY-Mr. William Roy Moxley, age 70, of Beech Island, S.C., loving husband for 38 years to Georgiana Vallery Moxley and son of the late William Clyde Moxley and the late Bessie Gibson Moxley, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 23, 2012. In addtion to his wife, he is survived by: sons, Joseph Moxley of Bath, Timothy Moxley of Gloverville and Clarence Moxley of Beech Island; daughters, Sylvia Mitchell and Tonya Wilds both of Gloverville, Tiffany Slaven of Aiken, Bessie Wright of North Augusta and Stephanie Campbell of Graniteville; brothers, Bill and Anthony Moxley both of Warrenville; sisters, Nellie Jones of Aiken, Debra Williams of Tacoma, Washington and Shirley Rose Tuberville of North Augusta; seventeen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and his ex-wife and still good friend, Norma Jean Moxley. He was born in Bartow, Georgia, but has been a lifelong resident of the local area. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved buying and restoring old cars. He was an avid fisherman. He also loved drinking his coffee and was at his best when driving an eighteen wheeler. He always made everyone smile as they listened to his practical jokes. Last, but not least, he was a good husband, father and grandfather, who loved his family nnd friends with an unconditional love, and he shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched along the way; however, fond memories of him shall live on forever in all of their hearts. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening, March 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hanna officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery in Langley, S.C. The pallbearers will be Chris Stephenson, Terry Mason, Terry Moxley, Billy Jack Moxley, Harold Campbell, Sammy Miller and Tyler Moxley. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.
