BREWER- Entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, Mr. William C. “Billy” Brewer, age 70 of Graniteville, S. C., loving husband to Barbara Friar Brewer for 28 wonderful years and son of the late William Homer Brewer and the late Emeline Williams Brewer Pitts. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law; Charles “Benje” Brewer of Graniteville, S. C. and Brian W. and Shannon Wyatt of Greenwood, S. C.; a brother, Wallace “Boone” Pitts of Aiken, S.C.; sisters, Katie Rogers, Carolyn Herron and Judy Pitts all of Aiken, S. C. ; Sylvia Ann Baughman of Aspen, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Joshua Wyatt. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Renay Brewer; sisters, Frances Brewer Carpenter and Sarah Miller. He was born in Graniteville, S.C. and has been a lifetime resident of Aiken County. He was a retired Supervisor with over 35 years of dedicated service in the Maintenance Dept. and in Forestry with Graniteville Company. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who just adored his grandchildren. He loved the outdoors; and it was quite obvious that he loved nature; as he was an avid gardener, where it be growing vegetables or beautiful flowers. Last but not least, he really enjoyed fishing with his sons. Needless to say, he is going to be really missed by his family and friends and all whose lives he touched along the way. A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Skelton, Rev. J. R. Gillum and Pastor Jackie Ray Robinson officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Robert Carr, Tony Carr, Jr., Andy Mathis, Robert Rogers, Mack Rutland and Keith Riley. The Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Gantt, Clarence Hipps, Jessee Walker, Ralph Byrd, Gerald Williams, Earl Chapman, Leonard West, Jimmy Williams and Wayne Plunkett. The family will receive friends Friday evening, June 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S. C. 29829.
