William Auburn Bishop

BISHOP-Mr. William Auburn Bishop, age 86, of Warrenville, S.C., loving husband for 63 years to Betty Joyce Eubanks Bishop and son of the late Lloyd Preston Bishop and the late Ethel Proctor Bishop, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 23, 2012. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons; Glenn (Susan) Bishop of Warrenville and Preston (Linda) Bishop of Langley; a daughter, Gisele (Eddie) Reece of Warrenville; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was a residential/commercial carpenter by trade having worked for Bechtel for a number of years. He was a US Army Veteran having bravely served his country and received several medals, including the Good Conduct Medal and a Purple Heart, during World War II. He was a dedicated member of Gloverville Pentecostal Holiness Church. His family stated that he was the “World’s Greatest Dad and “PaPa”. Needless to say, he shall be greatly missed by his family and everyone whose lives he touched during the 86 precious years that God granted him on this earth; however, death is not the end for those who believe in God, as He has promised eternal life. Mr. Bishop has just made a transition to his new Heavenly home, where there is no more pain nor sorrow, for all is joy in that fair land. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Wednesday evening, April 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Clint Jackson and Rev. Aaron Deer officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. His grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Proctor, Tommy Proctor, Cecil Goff and Gary Bishop.
