PROCTOR-Mr.Willard Earl Proctor, age 62, of Gloverville, S. C., beloved husband for 31 years to Brenda Griffith Proctor and son of the late Ira Proctor and the late Addie Mae Harsey entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael Earl “Scooter†Proctor and his fiancée, Amanda Coleman of Gloverville; daughters and their spouses, Brenda Seigler and her fiancée, Jackie Spicer of Trenton, Traci (Bucky) Banks of Gloverville, Julie (Brent) Johnson and Christie (Keith) Lowe all of Graniteville; a brother, Jeff (Lisa) Proctor of North Augusta; a sister, Sarah (Bert) Ellis of Blythe, Ga.; a special aunt, Lillian Noe; eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Stacy and Ronald Proctor and a sister, Margaret Ellen Proctor. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a US Air Force Veteran. He was a faithful member of Believer’s Worship Center in Warrenville. He started the Regulators Softball Teams (Men’s Slow Pitch & Girl’s Fast Pitch). He was a member of the Dayton American Legion Post #27 in Virginia. He was a loving husband, father and poppa. Needless to say, he shall be greatly missed by his family, many friends and all whose lives he touched along the way but there is a consolation in knowing that death is not the end for the Christian for God has promised us eternal life. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord; yes, there is victory over the grave. A service celebrating his life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home at 3:00 PM on Friday, December 23, 2011 with Rev. Chris Fulmer officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery in Langley, S.C. The pallbearers will be players from the Men’s and Girl’s Regulators Softball Teams. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, December 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM or at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Brent Johnson at #1A Gregg Street, Graniteville, S.C. Memorials, in Mr. Proctor’s honor, may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Dr., Columbia, S.C. 29204.
