Willard Fulton Ellis, Jr.

ELLIS-Mr. Willard Fulton Ellis, Jr., age 81, of Aiken, S.C., completed life’s journey and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at his residence. He was married to the late Thelma Jean Bennett Ellis for 59 loving years and was the son of the late Willard Fulton Ellis, Sr. and the late Martha Jean Sartin Ellis. He is survived by sons, Royce Ellis of Galloway, Ohio, Charles Ellis of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and Joseph Ellis of Aiken, S.C.; daughters, Barbara (Pete) Jenkins of Ceredo, W. Virginia, Judy (Everett) Stewart of Prichard, W. Virginia and Kathy Blake of Huntington, W. Virginia, a brother, Thurman Lee Ellis of Columbus, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He was born in Logan, W. Virginia on September 24, 1930, but has been a resident of Aiken County for the past 27 years. He was a proud Marine Corp disabled veteran and was past Commander of Chapter 43. He was a retired commercial electrician by trade. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all whose lives he touched; however, he shall live on forever in their hearts. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Southlawn Cemetery in Aiken, S.C. with his son, Charles Ellis and a friend, Clarence Brown officiating. His sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, the day of the service, at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, at which time the procession will be leaving to go to the cemetery.
