Vivian Proveax Boyd

BOYD-Ms. Vivian Proveaux Boyd, age 85, of Graniteville, S. C., beloved wife of the late Lish A. Boyd, Sr. and daughter of the late Walter F. Proveaux and the late Estelle Smith Proveaux, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 4, 2011. She is survived by daughters, Arlene B. (Tony) Love of North Augusta, S.C. and Cuby Gloria Jean (Clifford) Boyd of Hephzibah, Ga.; a son, Lish A.(Darthie) Boyd, Jr. of Graniteville, S.C.; a sister, Gaynell Sanders of Williston, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Boyd of Graniteville, S.C.; ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and a number nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Boyd. She was a member of Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville. She was a loving mama, as she was so fondly referred to by her children, and a real Christian lady, who loved her family and friends unconditionally. She was an avid gardener, and she enjoyed listening to a variety of music. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the precious 85 years that God granted her on this earth; however, life does not end with death, she has just made a transition to a land where no other can compare. There will be no more goodbyes, because life and love never ends in this Heavenly place, and her family and friends can see her again one day. A service celebrating her life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 5:00 PM with Rev. Stephen Phillips officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Randy Boyd, Tim Sanders, Brian Simmons, Joshua Simmons, Richard Greeley and Boyd Kneece. Great Grandsons, Justin Greeley and Graysen Greeley will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
