TURNER-Virginia Hudson Turner, age 82, of Aiken, S.C., widow of the late Pope N. Turner, Sr. and daughter of the late Murray Hudson and the late Cora Johnson Hudson, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 8, 2016. She is survived by sons, Pope N. Turner, Jr. and Christopher A. Turner both of Aiken, S.C.; daughters, Kathy Turner Leach of Warrenville, S.C. and Renee Turner Gregory of Aiken, S.C.; brothers, O’Neal Hudson and Lewis Hudson both of Aiken, S.C. and Gerald Hudson of North Augusta, S.C.; sisters, Frankie Lee Munn of Columbia, S.C., Linda Snipes and Patsy Carlin both of Aiken, S.C.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was of the Holiness Faith. She was homemaker, loving mother, sister and grandmother. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 82 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. She has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ, in a land of endless tomorrows, where the soul will never die, and we’ll never have to say goodbye. A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held at University Parkway Church of God in Aiken, S.C. on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Henry D. Shaffer officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville. The Pallbearers will be Joshua Miller, Nathan Barrs, Adam Turner, Logan Leach, Jerrett Evans and Michael Gregory. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening, January 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
