Vicky Hooks Brown

BROWN-Ms. Vicky Hooks Brown, age 50, of Wagener, S. C., daughter of the late Dennis Albert Hooks and the late Minnie Mae Hydrick Hooks entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 2, 2011. She is survived by a daughter, Tamara Sizemore of Praire, Mississippi; sons, Marshall A. Brown of Atlanta, Ga., Donald E. Brown of Wagener, S.C., Jeremy Grey of Aiken, S.C.; sisters, Pat Payton, Aiken, S.C., Fran Rester of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, Dennis Hooks of Aiken, S.C. and six grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a retired Paramedic with Palmetto Ambulance Service. She attended Langley Church of God. She was a good mother, sister and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched, but she will live on in their hearts. A service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 5:00 PM at Langley Church of God with Pastor Bennie Burton officiating. The interment will follow at the Warrenville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Marshall A. Brown, Donald Brown, Jeremy Grey, Jeff Grey, Larry Payton and Marshall E. Brown. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 PM until the hour of service on Friday. Memorials, in Vicky’s honor, may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
