Veronica Flynn Thornton

THORNTON-Veronica Flynn Thornton, age 62, of North Augusta, S.C., loving daughter of Evelyn Gardner Osgood of Zephyirhills, Florida and the late Ralph Flynn, entered into rest on Sunday, April 6, 2014. In addition to her mother, she is survived by daughters, Theresa Young of North Augusta, S.C., Cheryl McLeod of New Ellenton, S.C.; sons, Anthony Young of North Augusta, S.C., Robert Young of Clearwater, S.C., Wes Young of Maryland; sisters, Marilyn Gaydosh of Seneca Falls, NY, Gaynel McLendon of Florida; two granddaughters and six grandsons. She was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Flynn and Bryan Flynn. She was born in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania but has been a resident of Aiken County, S.C. for the past 43 years. She was a retired seamstress with Augusta Sportswear. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Her family stated that she was a hard worker who always took good care of her family. She shall be greatly missed by her family and friends and all whose lives she touched during her lifetime; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials, in her honor, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210.
