RHODEN-Vera Smith Rhoden, age 77, of Warrenville, S.C., widow of David L. Rhoden, answered God’s call and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 1, 2016. She is survived by daughters, Deborah R. Boyd of Warrenville, S.C. and Donna (Ricky) Sikes of Graniteville, S.C.; a son, Keith (Tammy) Rhoden of Williston, S.C.; grandchildren, Jason (Sarah) Rhoden, Jeffrey (Amanda) Rhoden, Amy Boyd (Jimmy) and Michael Boyd; great grandchildren, Zack Rhoden, Hayden Rhoden, Bethany Gray and Sadie Gray. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Rhoden. She was born in Salley, S. C. but has spent most of her life in Warrenville, S.C. She was a member of Warrenville Church of God. She was a loving and very special mother and grandmother, who loved her family with all her heart. She was also a dear friend to many. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 77 years that God granted her on this earth. Death is not the end, as she has just made that great transition to her Heavenly Home where all is joy and peace and the soul of man shall never die. “To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lordâ€. Heaven is sweeter with Vera Rhoden there. A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Robert Skelton and Pastor Bertie Altman officiating. The interment will follow at the Warrenville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Clem Campbell, Jeffrey Rhoden, Jason Rhoden, Bubba Hamlett, Lee Gunter and Billy Kirkland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening, April 3rd from 4:00 until 6:00 PM.
