Mrs. Tina Tice Mims, 64, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 23, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tessie Mae Johnson and Melvin Rowland Tice Sr.; and sisters Glenda Dossey, and Sonya “Dee” Williams.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Charles Mims; son, Nick (Jami) Mims; daughters, Leslie (Burk) Johnston, Lindsay (Joey) Hicks; brothers, Charlie (Sha) Tice, Willie (Linda) Tice; sister, Debra Rhoden; grandchildren, Bransyn Mims-Burton, Jonathan (Mallory) Metts, Jennifer Metts, Nolan Johnston, Larue Hicks, Joseph Hicks, Nicholas Mims, Charles Hicks, Harvey Hicks; many nieces and nephews; and Heather Walls, who she loved like a granddaughter.
Tina graduated from T.W. Josey High School in 1977, and later went on to graduate from USC Aiken with a degree in nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She dedicated her life to nursing and caring for others. She was a member of Langley Church of God and was devoted with her love of Jesus. She loved animals, rescuing many dogs, and was a dog mom to Gibbie, Jack, Copper, and Gracie “Mae Mae”. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, early morning yard sales, and going to all of her babies’ ball games. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandkids. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held at Langley Church of God on Wednesday June 28, 2023, at 3 P.M. with Pastor Hardee to officiate. The burial will follow immediately at The Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday June 27, 2023, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Napier Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be David Barrett, Stephen Miller, John Ross Williams, Josh Miller, Gerald Davis II, and Dalton Britt. Honorary pallbearers will be Tina’s Sunday School Class.
The family would like to send their sincere thanks to the CVPACU at Piedmont Hospital Augusta for the care not only to Tina, but to her family as well.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations in Tina’s memory be made to Langley Church of God Home for Children, 2444 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, SC 29829.
