CHERRY-Mr. Teddy Lewis Cherry, age 84, of Aiken, S.C., beloved husband of Annie Laura Stevenson Cherry and son of the late James Samuel Cherry and the late Lessie Lee Gunter Cherry, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 20, 2011. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Teddy Lewis Cherry, Jr. of Seneca, S. C.; Max Cherry of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Paula Rowland of Columbia, S.C., Beth Peterson of Cary, N.C.; brothers, Jim Cherry of Lugoff, S.C, Larry Cherry of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Mildred Cherry of Lugoff, S.C.; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He grew up in Winnsboro, S.C. but has been a resident of Aiken County, S.C. for the past fifty-eight years. He was a retired foreman from Savannah River Site. Ted, as he was so fondly known to his many friends, was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid fisherman, who spent many hours with his family and friends freshwater fishing in various S. C. Lakes. Needless to say, he shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched; however, death is not the end, as the gift of God is eternal life. A graveside service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Royal Pines Cemetery in Winnsboro, S.C. with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening, November 22nd, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
