Shirley Duffie Thompson

THOMPSON-Shirley Duffie Thompson, age 78. of Vaucluse, S.C., daughter of the late Broadus Bagwell and the late Mamie Sue Wilbanks, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 16, 2015. She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Toole; sisters, Elsie Stiles, Elaine (Jack) Howard, Geraldine Helms, Lynda O’Neal and four grandchildren, Brent and his wife, Holley Owenby, Eric and his wife Beth Owenby, Joshua Curtis and Billy Owensby. She was preceded in death by a son, Wilbur Darrell Duffie. She was born in York County, S.C. but has been a resident of Aiken County since 1972. She was of the Methodist Faith. She was an Assistant Manager with Dollar General. She was a loving sister, grandmother and friend. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 78 years that God granted her on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home Friday evening, July 17, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. As per her request, there will be no funeral service and the interment will be private.
