Mrs. Shirley Adkinson Proctor, 80, entered into rest Saturday January 29, 2022.
Born to the late Earl and Joesphine Adkinson Sr. in 1941, she was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She loved the mountains, flowers, and shopping. She was a homemaker, and took pride in taking care of her family, whom she loved dearly. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Jimmy C. Proctor; her parents; brothers, Earl Adkinson Jr., Brinkley Adkinson, and Ruben Adkinson; sisters, Shirldia Grey, and Joanna Roscoe.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Lamar (Melissa) Proctor, and Buddy Herbert Harold “Buddy” Proctor Jr.; daughters, Donna L. (John) Potenski, and Sandra Proctor (Stacy) Johnson; brothers, Edward Adkinson, Robert Adkinson, and Wade Adkinson Jr.; sister, Mary Fordham; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service, celebrating her life will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday, February 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Napier Funeral home, with Pastor Wayne Cheselka to officiate, and the burial to follow at Langley Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Napier Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Gene Adkinson, Allen Proctor, James White, Wade Adkinson Jr., Austin Patterson, and Bobert Burkett.
