Shirley Sims McGee

McGee- Ms. Shirley Sims McGee, age 79 of Graniteville, S.C., wife of the late Carl Leon McGee, Sr. and daughter of the late Dollie Williams Sims Shaw, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 9, 2015. She is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Gregory Graniteville, S.C.; sons, Carl McGee, Jr. of Gloverville, S.C., Terry McGee of Langley, S.C. and Russell McGee of Graniteville, S.C.; ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, William Terry, Jr. and a brother, Amos Sims. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She retired from Asco formerly Thermadisc with over thirty years of dedicated service. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Bath, S.C. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 79 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however death is not the end as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. She has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home this Tuesday evening, March 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing will be held in Napier Funeral Home Chapel Graniteville, S.C. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Michael Brendel and Rev. Tony Rhodes officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Chris Gregory, Rusty McGee, Drew McGee, Trey McGee and great grandsons; Jamie Gregory, Vito Franco, Ryan Gregory, Aaron Gregory and Dustin Carver.
