Shirley Lunsford

Mrs. Shirley Jean Baughman Lunsford, age 84, beloved wife of 69 years to Mr. Alvin E. Lunsford, went home to be with the Lord on Friday November 5, 2021 at her home.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Myra L. Bussell (Tommy); son, Vernon E. Lunsford (Susan); seven grandchildren, Tabatha B. Fulmer (Benjamin), Tonya B. Kelley (Jeremy), Eric E. Lunsford (Allison), Kristy L. Harwood (Robert), Shanna L. Paradise (Brian), Chuck Hurt (Diana) Cara Beall; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Etrulia Couch; 2 nieces and a sister in law that were more like sisters, Margaret Batchelor, Patricia Shealy, and Dottie Baughman.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter C. and Maggie S. Baughman; five brothers and three sisters.
She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Clearwater, SC. In earlier years she taught Sunday school, and played piano / organ at Breezy Hill Baptist Church in Graniteville. She worked for Graniteville Company as a cloth inspector and time keeper, but retired from Quality Printing, which was the family business that she helped start from the ground up. She loved to crochet, cook, play piano and sing but most of all she loved the Lord. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
A funeral service honoring her life and legacy will be held on Tuesday November 9, 2021 at 1pm at Lakeside Baptist Church in Clearwater, SC with Pastor Tad Marshall officiating. The interment will immediately follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 11am until the time of the service at the church.
