Shealy McGee Joyce

SHEALY-Ms. Joyce McGee Shealy, age 72, of Aiken, S.C, daughter of the late Foster McGee and the late Geneva Pilot McGee, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 1, 2013. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. and Jodi Herrin of Beaufort, S.C.; sisters and a brother-in-law, Daisy Mae Rutland of Ridge Spring, S.C; Martha and Gene Asbendon of Cayce, S.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, Connie and Wanda McGee of Greenville, S.C.; two grandchildren, Christy Rankin and Thomas J. Herrin, II and one great granddaughter, Natalie Rose Rankin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Foster McGee, Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Stoudemayer. She was born in Edgefield, S. C. and was a resident of Aiken. She was retired from the Townsend Divison of Graniteville Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vaucluse, S.C. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother and shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 72 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, death is not the end as the “Gift of God” is eternal life for all who believe in Him. She has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home, and she now has a new body with no more pain or sorrow. Yes, to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 2:00 until 3:00 PM; at which time, a service celebrating her life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Thomas J. Herrin, II, Doug Rankin, Glenn Herrin and William Herrin.
