ELLIS-Sara Bitters Ellis, age 75, of Graniteville, S.C., loving wife for 40 years to Joseph “Joe†Ellis and daughter of the late Kenneth L. Bitters and the late Gladys Malphus Bitters, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 17, 2015. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Charles “Ricky†Keenan and Kenneth Edward (Holly) Keenan both of Graniteville, S.C.; a daughter, Loretta G. Bitters and her companion, Wayne Simmons of Bath, S.C.; a sister, Helen Owens of Graniteville, S.C.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was born in Hartsville, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Graniteville. She had a great personality and could always make you smile even when you didn’t feel like it. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She shall be great missed by all whose live she touched during the 75 years that God granted her on this earth. She has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A graveside service, celebrating her life and homegoing will be held at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery in Graniteville, S.C. on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Harold Herd and Rev. James L. Young officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside by 10:45 AM. Memorials, in her honor, may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P.
