SMITH-Mrs. Ruth Louise Atkinson Smith, age 74, of Aiken, S.C., daughter of the late Hillman Atkinson and the late Epsie Mae Bryant Atkinson, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. She is survived by daughters and a son-in-law, Lisa Evelyn Hulbert and Mike and Debra Louise Flowers of Houston, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Daniel Swink and Leigh of Commerce, Ga., Jimmy Lee Swink and Sarah, Bobby Joe Smith of Houston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and John Ford of Aiken, S. C. a brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Kathy Atkinson of Aiken, S.C.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons; Paul J. Swink and Dewey David Swink. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Hollow Creek Baptist Church. She was a kind and loving lady, who simply loved everybody. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 74 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, life does not end with death as God has promised eternal life for all who believe and trust in Him. She has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home where all is peace and love, and no sad goodbyes are ever spoken. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held at Hollow Creek Baptist Church on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 3:00 PM with Rev.Darrell Adams officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at the church cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Harold Craig, Justin Craig, Tyler Craig, Andy Craig, Felton Craig and Austin Lopez. Michael Franklin and Travis Williams will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
