Ruth Rains Jones

JONES-Mrs. Ruth Rains Jones, age 71, of North Augusta, S.C., daughter of the late William M. Rains and the late Lucille Harris Rains, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 4, 2013. She is survived by a son, Glenn (Beth) Carter of Aiken, S.C.; brothers, James (Sonja) Rains of Beech Island, S.C., Robert (Lori) Rains of Port St. Lucie, Florida and grandchildren, Allison and Katie Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Rains. She was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Clearwater, S.C. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, who never met a stranger. She was the embodiment of selflessness, always thinking of others before herself. She shall be greatly missed by her family and many friends whose lives she touched; however, she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Wednesday evening, November 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Mr. Curtis Moody officiating.
