NEW-Mr. Russell David New, age 78, of Aiken, S.C., loving husband of Martha Marie Willis New and son of the late Darling New and the late Margie Powell New, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Russell S. New of Aiken; a grandson, Alex Cothran; sisters, Betty Booth of Aiken and Patsy Cloutier of Mississippi. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a self-employed Auto Paint and Body man. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 78 years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his friends and loved ones. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service, and the interment will be private.
