OHNSON –Russell T. (Terry) Johnson, age 72 of Aiken, S.C., loving husband for 44 years to Florence Ann Johnson and son of Louise Mitchum Brown of Raleigh, N.C. and the late Luther James Johnson, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and entered into eternal rest at his residence, surrounded by his family and loved ones on Thursday, June 4, 2015. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Sonya (Rev. Phillip) Napier of Modoc, S.C.; sons, Gerald (Sherry) Johnson of Langley, S.C., Russ Johnson and Burt (Beth) Johnson both of Aiken, S.C.; sisters, Trinka (Philip) Akeson of Augusta, Ga., Lynn (Will) McDowell of Charlotte, N.C. and Marcy Johnson of Raleigh, N.C. a brother Jay (Barbara) Johnson of North Augusta, SC.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. He retired from Kimberly-Clark with over 31 years of dedicated service. He was an avid golfer. His family stated that he was a very intelligent man who could do most anything he set his mind to. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother and grandfather who loved his family and Lord with all his heart. He has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with his Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A service, celebrating his life and homegoing will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Renew and Rev. Phillip Napier officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Pallbearers will be Mike Epperly, Michael Epperly, Mickey Williamson, Sr., John C. Napier, Wes Johnson, Brett Johnson, Wayne Plunkett, Frank Jones and Dennis Epperly.
