PRIDGEN-Mr. Roy O. Pridgen, age 65, of Aiken, S. C., loving husband for 46 years to Maryann Redd Pridgen and son of the late Morris B. Pridgen and the late Lena Franklin Pridgen, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 5, 2012. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Darren (Kelly) Pridgen of Aiken; a daughter, Sherry (James) Taylor of Aiken; sisters, Hazel Pridgen and Grace (Charles) Bates both of Clarks Hill, S.C.; brothers, Hubert (Elizabeth) Pridgen of Graniteville and Gene (Kathy) Pridgen of Clarks Hill; grandchildren, Ashley (Jeff) Clark, Cory Pridgen Taylor and Nichole Pridgen; great grandchildren, Wyatt Britt and Aubree Britt and his special cat, Witty. He was born in Clearwater, S.C. He was preceded in death by sisters, Eveleen Johnson and Gertrude Hardee. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was an avid fisherman, and he loved football and Nascar. He was a loving husband, father, Paw Paw and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched while here on earth; however, he shall live on forever in their hearts. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, April 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Kevin Liles officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery in Langley, S.C. The pallbearers will be his nephews, Tim Hardee, Michael Hardee, Glenn Bates, Morris Pridgen and Jacob Pridgen and his stepgrandson, Chris Clark.
