Mrs. Rose Young entered into rest surrounded by her family Saturday November 20, 2021.
“I can show you better than I can tell you”
Born in 1949 to the late James Whaley and Evelyn Weeks, Rose was known to many as a kind and giving person. All you had to do was ask and you would have it tenfold. She enjoyed the mountains and Black Friday shopping. When she spoke about her son-in-law Paul she always said “I couldn’t have searched the world over for a better man for my daughter”. She will be remembered for being the loving wife, mother, and Nana that she was.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Herman Young; her parents; and brother-in-law, Harold Ford.
She is survived by her daughter, Missy “Mimi” (Paul) Hawkins; son, Ronnie (Tenill) Young; brother, Ron Jordan; sisters, Rachel Ford, and Darlene Thompson; and grandchildren, Victoria “Lulu” (Michael) Hill, Justin (Anna) Young, Chey (Bo) Hickson, and Jaden Young.
The family will receive friends at Langley Church of God Tuesday evening November 23, 2021 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday November 24, 2021 at Langley Church of God, with Pastor Eddie Hardee and Pastor Richard Martin to officiate. The burial will follow at Warrenville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gerry Stevens, Chuck Bishop, Ronnie Duncan, Robbie Duncan, Chester Enlow, and Donnie Boyd
