REECE-Mrs. Rose Carolyn Owens Reece, age 77, of Aiken, S.C., loving wife for 60 wonderful years to Robert E. Reece and daughter of the late Ellis A. Owens, Jr. and the late Alberta Stinson, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 22, 2015. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Thomas E. (Gisele) Reece of Warrenville, S.C. and David (Cathy) Reece of Ft. Mill, S. C.; a sister, Margie Faye Owens Johnson of Shallotte, N. C.; grandchildren, Allen (Dana), Brandon, Phillip and Anna Reece; great grandchildren, Jake and Logan Hudson and Aubrey Reece. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Robert Reece. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She retired from SRS as a Secretary/Stenographer. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville, S.C. where she also was a member of Women of the ELCA, the Red Hatters and the Archie Dodgen Sunday School Class. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who loved her family with all her heart. She was also a friend to many. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 77 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. She has left the side of her family to be by the side of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening, March 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life, will be held at St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville, S.C. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Barry T. Antley officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Phillip, Anna, Allen and Brandon Reece; Jake and Logan Hudson; Tim and Tom Carpenter. The Women of the ELCA, the Red Hatters of St. James Lutheran Church and members of the Archie Dodge Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
