Ronnie Dean Gordon

Mr. Ronnie Dean Gordon, age 82, beloved husband of 44 years to the late Ann S. Gordon, entered the Church Triumphant on Sunday April 6, 2025.

He is survived by his sons Kevin Christopher (Kenlyn) Gordon of Dillon, SC and Stephen Patrick Gordon (Gary D. Summers) of Graniteville, SC; grandchildren, Vivian Grace Gordon and William Thomas Gordon; grand dog "Roycee"; and his sisters, Catherine (James) Hamrick and Betty Sereno, both of Gaffney, SC.

In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his parents, William James and Susie Parris Gordon; and brothers, J.R. Gordon and David O. Gordon.

Mr. Gordon was born in 1942 in Gaffney, SC and later graduated from Gaffney High School in 1962. He graduated from Aiken Technical College in 1974 with a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Gordon was in banking for over 30 years until he found his true calling as Field Office Supervisor for the SC Governor's Office of Veteran Affairs until his retirement. He was a member and former Treasurer of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville, and former member of the Aiken County Transportation Committee, Past President and current board member of Breezy Hill Water and Sewer, a member of the American Legion Post 77 (where he previously served as the Financial Officer and Service Officer), a member of the Marine Corps League, and a member of 40 and 8 Veterans Non Profit organization. Mr. Gordon was an avid supporter of veterans everywhere and helped hundreds receive the benefits they deserved. He never met a stranger and always had time to listen and lend a helping hand. Ronnie enjoyed watching NASCAR, traveling and supporting charitable causes. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he impacted.

A funeral honoring his life and legacy will be held on Saturday April 12, 2025 at 1pm at St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville with the Reverend Kris Littman-Koon officiating. The interment with Military Honors accorded will immediately follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am to 12:30pm on the day of the service in the Parrish Hall of St. James Lutheran Church.

Pallbearers will be: Charles Hilton, Edward Grealish, Milton Rogers, Ron Davis, Jeff Hill and Michael Driver.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville.
