Rodney Chavis

Mr. Rodney Chavis, entered into rest surrounded by his loving family Tuesday May 11th, 2021.
Born in 1954 to the late Burnice and Evelean Chavis in Salley, SC. Mr. Chavis was a lifelong resident of Aiken county, a devoted member of Banner of Love, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren compete in various sports.
Mr. Chavis is preceded in death by his father Burnice Chavis, and grandson Dathan Taylor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Dianne Chavis; son, Joshua (Leeann) Chavis; daughters, Daronda (Ashley) Hawkins, and Kelley ( Jeffery) Taylor; goddaughters, Amber Mills, and Breanna Markel; mother, Evelean Chavis; brothers, Carol Chavous, Lonnie Chavous, Steve Chavous, and Bernie Chavis; sisters Nina Williams, and Tina Mills; grandsons, Camden Taylor, Brayden Hawkins, Cragen Taylor, Andon Hawkins, Isaiah Chavis, Eli Chavis, Easton Truitt, Cannon Taylor; and granddaughters, Christian Hawkins, and Cambrie Taylor.
A Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held at the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home Friday May 14th at 2 P.M. with Pastor Jeffery Taylor officiating. The burial will follow at The Historic Graniteville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Gray, Greg Stevens, Jeramy Markel, Robbie Markel, Donald Hancock, Bryan Snipes, Chris Chavous, and Burnice Chavous. The grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
A visitation will be held Thursday evening May 13th from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Napier Funeral Home.
