MAYS-Mr. Robert E. Mays, age 90, of Warrenville, S.C., husband of the late Bunny Moody Mays and son of the late John J. Mays and the late Ollie Hutto Mays, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Thursday, October 9, 2014. He is survived by his lifetime companion, Clara Jennings of Warrenville, S.C.; daughters, Patsy Napier of Warrenville, S.C., Nancy Storey of Monetta, S.C., Debra Quackenbush and Wendy Smith both of Warrenville, S.C.; sisters, Maggie Mays and Georganne O’Banion both of Warrenville, S.C.; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was born in Langley, S.C. and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a US Navy Veteran having bravely served his country during World War II. His hobbies included fishing, camping and growing a vegetable garden. He loved his children and grandchildren and next to them came his love for his cats and dogs. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 90 years that God granted him on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. A graveside service will be held at the Langley Cemetery in Langley, S.C. on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Clint Jackson officiating. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Saturday evening, October 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
