HARRIS-Mr. Richard L. Harris, age 59. of Graniteville, S.C., son of Francis Leon “Johnny” Harris of Augusta, Ga. and the late Ruth Carpenter Harris, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. In addition to his father, he is survived by daughters and son-in-law: Brandi and Shawn Hutto of Graniteville, S.C., Nicole Jones and her companion, Chad Adams of North Augusta, S.C.; a son, Richard Joshua Harris and his companion, Ariel Prothman of Graniteville, S.C.; grandchildren; Jordan Thomas, Paiton Hutto, Haley Harris, Drake Hutto and Isabella Harris and special friends, Ronald and Krystal Williams. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was of the Baptist faith. He was employed by Rainbow Falls Bait Shop in Graniteville. The family stated that he was a good man, always doing whatever he could for everybody, and he never said anything bad about anybody. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during his lifetime; however, his memories shall live on forever in their hearts. A service celebrating his life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Walter Youngblood officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The interment will be private. Memorials, in his honor, may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
