DARNELL-Rev. Ida Lee Clark Earnest Darnell, age 86, of Gloverville, S.C., wife of the late Frank S. Earnest, Jr. and the late Rev. Grady E. Darnell, enterd into eternal rest on Saturday, October 18, 2014. She is survived by sons, Michael Earnest of Langley, S.C. and Jerry Earnest of Gloverville, S.C.; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, Pow Hattan Clark and Ella Clark Clark. She was born in Gloverville, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was of the Holiness Faith. She was a loving Christian mother, grandmother and friend who loved her family very much. She also loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and lived her life preaching, witnessing and winning lost souls to Jesus. Yes, this was her mission in life. Life for her has not ended with death; just only begun in a land where no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken. She has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her Maker. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lordâ€. A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Phillip Napier officiating. The interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Bath, S.C. Her great grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
