Ret. Chief Petty Offcer Charles H. Jury July 22, 2016 JURY-Ret. Chief Petty officer, Charles H. Jury, age 88, of North Augusta, S.C., loving husband of ShirleyAnn Johnson Jury and son of the late Arthur David Jury, Sr. and the late Carmen Sabina Delgado Jury, left his family’s side to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, July 22, 2016. In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by a daughter, Karen Al-Shamlan of Kuwait; sons, Charles H. Jury, Jr. of Blackshear, Ga., Johnny Jury and Paul Jury both of North Augusta, S.C.; a sister, Lita Jury and a brother, Albert Jury both of Virginia; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was born in Santiago, Chile but came to the states when he was five years old. He has been a resident of Aiken County for over 20 years. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Brunswick, Ga. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer with the US Navy having bravely served his country during World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was the owner of a Paint and Decorating Store known as “Tom Sawyer’s Paint Ctr.†in Brunswick, Ga. and the President of Jurdan, Inc., Pop In Go Video and Take Two Video. He was also one of the owners of Jury Pest Control. He was a man of integrity, humble and loving to his wife and family. Above all, he loved Jesus with all his heart. A man of his caliber shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 88 precious years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his friends and loved ones. A service, celebrating his life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Jackie Ray Robinson and Rev. Paul Jury officiating. The interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Bath, S.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the hour of service on Monday.
