Peggy West Lancaster

LANCASTER-Mrs. Peggy West Lancaster, age 79, of Warrenville, S.C., loving wife of William A. Lancaster and daughter of the late Edgar West and the late Eva Hames West, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Kent Overstreet of Graniteville, S.C.; a son, Robert Lancaster of Howlandville, S.C.; three grandchildren, Derrick Redd, Amber Overstreet and Wes Overstreet and a great grandson, Dylan Redd. She was born in Union, S.C. but has been a lifetime resident of Aiken County. She was a dedicated member of Graniteville First Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and friend, who next to God, always put her family first; and she really enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren, who had her wrapped around their little finger; yes, getting anything they wanted from grandmother. She also could have coined the phase “Shop Til You Drop”, as she really enjoyed going to Belk. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched durng the 79 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however life does not end with death, as the gift of God is eternal life, and death cannot destroy the memories of her that shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, March 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held at Graniteville First Baptist Church on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Todd Sessions officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The men of the church will serve as Active and Honorary pallbearers. If so desired, memorials, in Peggy’s honor, may be made to Graniteville First Baptist Church, 76 Canal St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829.
