Peggy Baughman Hancock

Peggy Baughman Hancock, age 84, beloved wife of 64 years to the late Marvin W. Hancock, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 at her residence. She is survived by her son, Phillip (ReAnne) Hancock; daughter, Marilyn H. (Robert) Coursey; brother, Donnie Baughman; sister, Sheila Black; grandchildren, Andrew R. and David A. Coursey; great grandchildren, Jeremy and Cameron Coursey; and one great grandchild on the way, Lila Mae Coursey. In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Annie Hall Baughman; brother, Nelson R. Baughman; sisters, Sarah Labante, Ima Jean Baughman, Muriel Bolick and Vivian Boyer. Ms. Hancock worked for 24 years with Graniteville Company as a Spinner at the Vaucluse Mill and worked for many years as the church secretary. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends whose lives she touched in the 84 precious years that God gave her on this earth. A funeral service celebrating her life will be conducted on Sunday, August 26th, 2018 at 4 o’clock pm in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bobby Broach and Rev. Jaime Bodiford officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Vaucluse Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Kenneth Cockrell, LeLand Wood, Timothy Leopard, Jr., Kenneth Rogers, Andrew Coursey and David Coursey. Honorary pallbearers will be: Brett and Glenn Spradley, Jeremy and Cameron Coursey, Effird Johnson and the Adult Sunday School Class of Fellowship of Truth Baptist Church.
