Pauline "Faye" Byrd Pou

POU-Pauline “Faye” Byrd Pou, age 66, of Warrenville, S.C., loving wife to Benny B. Pou, Sr. and daughter of Ira Byrd Hass of Aiken, S.C. and the late John Alfred Byrd, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her stepfather, Ronald Hass of Aiken, S,C.; daughters, Teresa Baylock of Elizabethton, TN. and Tammy Cooper Pahuamba, TN.; a sister, Dorothy Hutto of Aiken, S.C.; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Watson. She was born in Elizabethton, TN. but has spent most of her life in Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Aiken Congregational Holiness Church. She was a homemaker, a loving and caring daughter, wife, mom, sister, grandmother and friend. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during her lifetime here on earth. She has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. A service, remembering her life and celebrating her home going, will be held at Aiken Congregational Holiness Church on Park Avenue in Aiken, S.C. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeffery Taylor, Rev. Charles Wilson, Rev. Dale Davis and Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. The interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery in Aiken. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210. The family wishes to express a sincere “Thank you” to Agape Hospice and their caregivers, Joylyn, Sonya and Justin for the wonderful care that they gave to their loved one during her illness.
