ALEXANDER-Entered into rest on Saturday, December 18, 2010, Mr. Paul Everitt Alexander, age 66 of Aiken, S. C., loving husband for 38 years to Ann Lacy Alexander and son of the late Fred Alexander; stepfather, the late Hubert Howard and the late Thelma Collins Howard. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Deana Alexander of Warrenville, S.C. and Kevin Alexander of Aiken, S.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Terry Porter of Waynesville, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy Hall of Scottsdale, Arizona, Betty and Lou Dean Hinely of Guyton, Ga., Cindy Brown of Rockyford, Ga. and Dorothy and Mike Howell of Appling, Ga.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Louis and Betty Alexander and Bobby and Sandra Alexander all of Lilburn, Ga.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Wade Alexander and a brother, Charles Alexander. He was born in Reidsville, Ga., grew up in Sylvania, Ga. and has been a resident of Aiken County for the past 38 years. He enjoyed working with his hands and gardening, as was evidenced by the fact that he was a co-owner of Alexander’s Nursery for a number of years. He was a member of Wade’s Baptist Church in Sylvania, Ga. He was also a member of the Carpenters and Millwright Local Union #283 for a number of years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 66 years that God granted him on this earth; however, earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain and life for him has not ended, as the gift of God is eternal life. A celebration of his life service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Grover officiating. The interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday evening, December 20th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
