Patricia "Pat" Tanton Walker

WALKER-Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Tanton Walker, age 75, of Graniteville, S.C., loving wife for 54 wonderful years to Jesse Walker and daughter of the late Garnett N. Tanton and the late Alyne Freeman Tanton, entered into eternal rest on New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31, 2012. In addition to her husband, Jesse, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Robert Dennison of Burnettown, S.C.; sisters, Margie May, Pam Tanton and Pat Ruskin all of Gibson, Georgia; a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Lynette Tanton of Gloverville, S.C.; two grandchildren, Matthew Dennison and Nicholas Dennison. She was preceded in death by daughter, Susan Walker. She was born in Warrenville, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a retired bookkeeper with National Health Care in North Augusta, S.C. She had also worked as a bookkeeper for Mattie C. Hall Health Care in Aiken, S.C. prior to her job with National Health Care. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 75 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for Pat has not ended as God has promised eternal life for all who believe on Him. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Family and friends may call at the daughter’s residence (Stacey Dennison) at 510 Madelyn Dr., Graniteville, S. C., this Thursday evening, January 3rd from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A memorial service celebrating her life and home going will be held at St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville this Friday morning, January 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev Alan Quarles officiating.
