GORDON-Patricia Ann Smith Gordon, age 63, of Graniteville,, S.C., loving wife of 44 years to Ronnie D. Gordon and daughter of the late Tommie Henry and Oris Dodgen Smith, entered the Church Triumphant on Thursday, February 11, 2016. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Kevin Christopher (Kenlyn) Gordon of Charleston, S.C. and Stephen Patrick Gordon of Graniteville, S.C.; a granddaughter, Vivian Grace Gordon of Charleston, S.C. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She retired from the University of South Carolina, Aiken, with 12 years of service. Most recently, she was an Administrative Assistant in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and was formerly employed by Graniteville Company in the IMS Department for 27 years. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville, S.C.; there she was the former supply organist and LCY sponsor. She as a member of the International Sorority Beta Sigma Phi for 43 years; currently in S.C. Torchbearer Alpha-Aiken Chapter; she held several offices over the years including president, vice president and secretary. She also chaired numerous committees. Among the awards she received during her years in sorority were Woman of the Year; Valentine Queen and Valentine Empress. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, OWLS chapter of St. James Lutheran Church. Ann was a gracious hostess who was happiest when her house was full of family and friends. She was an avid reader, loved being with her family and always had a smile on her face and a funny anecdote to relate. She enjoyed traveling, decorating and cooking. A service, celebrating her life, will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 3:00 PM at St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville with Rev. Barry T. Antley and Monsignor Richard D. Harris officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Woodrow W. Smith, Jr., Milton Rogers, Edward Grealish, Charles Hilton, Tom Hair, Barney Chavous, Gary Summers and Danny Bass. Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of Torchbearer Alpha Chapter BSP & Red Hatters of St. James. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, February 14th in the Fellowship Hall of St. James from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
