Ouida King Harling

HARLING-Mrs. Ouida King Harling, age 85, of North Augusta, S.C., loving wife for 46 years to Frank Harling and daughter of the late Theodore E. King and the late Bernice McKenzie King, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 10, 2013. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Carolyn Stambaugh of Canton, Ga. , Becky Cochran and Vicki Babb both of North Augusta, S.C.; a son, Mike Harling of Aiken, S.C.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was born in Lanett, Alabama but has been a resident of Aiken County for the past 46 years. During her working years, she worked in the secretarial field with her last job having worked as a secretary for Beech Island Steam & Boiler Co. She was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church. She worked with the Adult Literacy, was a member of the University Hospital Ladies’ Auxiliary, the Graniteville Leisure Club, the Swinging 60’s and the Business Women’s Association. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she influenced and touched during her lifetime. She has now finished her journey and is at home with her maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, November 13th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A service celebrating her life will be held at the Clearwater Baptist Church in Clearwater, S.C. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. John Bolin officiating. The interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville. Deacons of the church will serve as Pallbearers.
