Otto D. "Buddy" Kaney, Jr.

KANEY-Otto D. “Buddy” Kaney, Jr., age 84, of Warrenville, S.C., husband of the late Jane Kaney and son of the late Otto D. Kaney, Sr. and the late Annie Bilton Kaney, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Saturday, July 18, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Jane Kaney; daughters, Ella Warren of Warrenville, S.C. and her companion, Israel Ceron, and Ann Pardue; sons, John Dennis (Cathy) Kaney of Windsor, S.C. and Jeff (Pam) Kaney of North Augusta, S.C.; sisters, Thelma Cain of Augusta, Ga. and Delores Fischer of Langley, S.C.; a brother, Tommy Kaney of Langley, S.C.; a special grandson, Andy Boatwright of Warrenville, S.C.; a special niece, Gwen Kaney of Langley, S.C.; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Pardue. He was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a carpenter by trade, having worked for several different businesses; the last one being Austin Industries. He was an avid fisherman, and he also enjoyed playing cards and shooting pool. Of all of these, his family stated that he loved to watch game shows on TV. He shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during the 84 years that God granted him on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, July 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 5:00 PM with Rev. Floyd Hutto officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Stevie McCormick, Tommy Kaney, Israel Ceron, Ernest Evans, Bryson Chapman and Chris Anderson.
