EUBANKS-Ollie O. Eubanks, age 95, of Warrenville, S.C., husband of the late Margaret Scott Eubanks and son of the late John G. Eubanks and the late Estelle Cotney Eubanks, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 20, 2014. He is survived by sons, Samuel G. (Gail F.) Eubanks of Cheraw, S.C. and Steven A. Eubanks of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren, Matthew McAllister, Steven (Amy) Eubanks, Jr., Gary (Colleen) Eubanks, Kevin (Kim) Eubanks and Sean (Courtney) Eubanks and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters, Eleanor Williams and Carolyn Brown. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. Up until his declining health, he was a very active member of St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville; there he was also a member of the Paul Burnette Sunday School Class. He was a member of the American Legion Post #77 in Warrenville, S.C. He was a member of the Aiken County Red Cross for many years. He was a US Army Air Corp Veteran having bravely served his country during World War II. He was a retired Supervisor with United Merchants (Bath Mill) in Clearwater, S.C. Mr. Ollie, as he was so fondly known by his friends, had a quite manner about him, until he got to know you, then he could talk your “ears off†so to speak. He was truly a people person, who was always willing to lend a hand when needed. He was always loving and always loved by everyone. There will definitely be an empty spot in the hearts of his friends and loved ones; however, there is a consolation in knowing that death is not the end for him, as he has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly home, where there is no more pain nor sorrow. Yes, he has finished his journey and is at peace with his Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. A service, celebrating his life, will be held at St. John United Methodist Church on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Alan Quarles officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Steven Eubanks, Matthew McAlister, Samuel Eubanks, Gary Eubanks, Kevin Eubanks, Sean Eubanks, Steve Eubanks and Rodney Williams. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 38, Graniteville, S.C. 29829.
