Norma Jean, Swancey malcom

December 31, 1969 — May 29, 2012

MALCOM- Mrs. Norma Jean Swancey Malcom, age 69, of North Augusta, S. C., loving wife for 44 years to Marion Malcom and daughter of the late William B. Swancey and the late Mary Evelyn Redd Swancey, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons: Marion C. Malcom, Jr. of Gray, Ga., Timothy A. Malcom of Trenton, S.C., Jeffrey W. & Jonathan E. Malcom both of North Augusta, S.C.; sisters, Cathy Taylor of Aiken, S.C., Diane Brown of North Augusta, S.C. and Lynn Bledsoe of Aiken, S.C.; brothers, Billy Swancey, Bobby Swancey, Danny Swancey and David Swancey all of Aiken, S.C. and ten grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. In her younger days, she worked in the bookkeeping Department at Farmers & Merchants Bank in Aiken. She was a dedicated member of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, S.C. She was a homemaker, devoted wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, who, next to God, always put her family first and foremost in her life. Needless to say, she shall be greatly missed by her family and many friends; however, life for her has not ended; she has just made a transition to her new Heavenly home, where all is joy and peace, no more pain nor sorrow and “Tears Will Never Stain The Streets Of That City”. There is a consolation in knowing that we can one day see her again, but until that time, she shall live on forever in everyone’s heart. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, this Thursday evening, May 31st from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A service celebrating her life and home-going will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday morning, June 1st at 11:00 AM with Dr. R. Larry Brown officiating. The interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens in North Augusta. Her sons and grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main Street Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements. You may visit our guest register by logging on to www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com.
