NORMA WILLIS BLACKWELL

BLACKWELL- Entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 5, 2010, Mrs. Norma Willis Blackwell, age 86 of Aiken, S. C., wife of the late James Elbert Blackwell and daughter of the late Sidney Willis and the late Mary Ellen Rish Willis. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Gerald Jordon, Anne and Wallace Boatwright; sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Neomia Blackwell, Tommie and Mary Blackwell and Gerald “Jerry” Blackwell; sisters, Grace Cook and Martha New, eleven grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren and three great -great grandchildren, all of Aiken, S. C. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken, S. C. She was retired from Granitieville Company. She was a dedicated member of Redds Branch Baptist Church in Aiken. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and her love for her family came next to her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 86 years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for her has not ended, she has just answered God’s call and made a transition to her Heavenly home. A celebraton ot her life service will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 4:30 PM at Redds Branch Baptist Church in Aiken, S. C. with Rev. Jamie Rogers and Rev. Gary Hanna officiating. The interment will follow at the church cemetery. The pallbearers will be Bruce Boatwright, Glenn Redd, Sonny Johnson, Tom Tyler, Edward Snipes, Grayson Still, Rodney Boatwright and Wade Richardson, Jr. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
