DEAN-Mrs. Nettie Carpenter Dean, age 92, of Graniteville, S.C., wife of the late Albert K. Dean and daughter of the late Preston B. Carpenter and the late Nettie Courtney Carpenter, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 24, 2012. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert P. “Bob†and Linda Dean of Crowley, Texas, a sister, Lona Mae Padgett of Trenton, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Jewel Dean of Graniteville, S.C.; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was born in Eureka, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was a retired timekeeper/secretary with the Townsend Division of Graniteville Company. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Graniteville. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 92 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however life for her has not ended, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. Mrs. Dean has just made a transition to her new home and is now probably singing with the Saints in that Heavenly choir. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, June 27th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Gett Padgett, Dennis Sauls, Ed Eidson, Jim Seymour, Ken Screws, Bucky Carpenter and Wayne Smith.
