Neomia Morris Blackwell

December 31, 1969 — August 10, 2011

BLACKWELL-Mrs. Neomia Morris Blackwell, age 66, of Aiken, S. C., beloved wife of Edward L. Blackwell and daughter of the late James Alvin Morris and the late Mildred Holsonback Morris, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters; DeAnna Smith of Nashville, Tennessee and Deborah Otis of Montgomery, Alabama; sons, Mark Edward Blackwell of Williston, S.C., Gary James Blackwell and Clint Morris Blackwell both of Aiken, S.C.; brothers, Nelson Morris of Florida, Ray Morris of Graniteville, Allen Morris of Florida and Teddy Morris of Aiken and thirteen grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a dedicated member of Redds Branch Baptist Church in Aiken. She was a very loving, kind and caring mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She was very easy to converse with, because she was a great listener. She was an avid flower gardener, and the family stated that she had two green thumbs, as everything she planted always seem to come up and look beautiful. Yes, just like her flowers, she was a beautiful lady inside and out; so therefore, she surely had to be a successful gardener. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 66 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, life does not end with death, as the gift of God is eternal life in a Heavenly land. She is surely enjoying a beautiful garden now. Her funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 6:00 PM at Redds Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Hanna officiating. The interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service (5:00 to 6:00 PM) on Sunday evening. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements. You can visit the online guest register at www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com.
