FRANKLIN-Mrs. Nellie Jane Hall Franklin, age 75, of Vaucluse, S.C., loving wife for 50 wonderful years to James Herman Franklin, Sr. and daughter of the late James H. Hall, Sr. and the late Velma Ruth Martin Hall, entered into eternal rest at her residence on the Lord’s Day, Sunday, October 2, 2016 after a long illness. She is with her Lord and Savior now. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Julie (David) Franklin Lott of Vaucluse, S.C.; a son, James “Jamie” H. (Shannon) Franklin, Jr. of North Augusta, S.C.; two wonderful grandchildren, Morgan Franklin and Ryan J. Franklin; a sister, Dora Hall (Dewey) Plunkett of Aiken, S.C.; two sisters-in-law, Earline Hall Corbett and Joyce Franklin Johnson and many nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Madison Franklin; a sister, Mildred Rhoden; a brother, James Hall, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Harry Johnson. She was born in Vaucluse, S.C. and was a life long resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Vaucluse United Methodist Church, where she was very active until her illness. Nellie was a loving and devoted wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was fondly known and loved by many friends. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 75 years that God granted her on this earth. Death is not the end, as she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. A celebration of Nellie’s life will be conducted on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lee Phillips and with Nellie’s nephew, Rev. Steve Hall officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be nephews, Richard Rhoden, Brian Rhoden, Robert Plunkett, Jr., Mark Plunkett, Ken Plunkett, Shane Hall and James Hall, III. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening, October 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at the residence at 4720 Vaucluse Rd., Aiken, S.C.
