Naomi Kneece Padgett

December 31, 1969 — June 18, 2015

PADGETT-Ms. Naomi Kneece Padgett, age 77, of Aiken, S.C., daughter of the late John P. Kneece and the late Lillie Mae Rushton Harris Kneece, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 18, 2015. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debra R. and Glenn Logue; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy Douglas and Ann Rains; a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd W. and Evelyn H. Harris; a sister and brother-in-law, Glenda K. and Wm. Sammie Napier all of Aiken, S.C.; a brother-in-law, William L. Harris of Vaucluse, a sister-in-law, Irene Kneece of Aiken S.C.; five grandchildren, Keith (Danica) Goff, Melissa (Brandon) Tindall, Matthew Rains, Megan Rains and Lora (Scott) Robinson; three great grandchildren, Tyler Tindall, Avery Robinson and Landon Jones; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, Melvin Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Billy Smith Rains, Robert L. Jackson and Al Padgett; sisters, Mable Turner and Zora Mae Harris; brothers, Calvin Kneece, Gene Kneece, Leroy Harris and John Harris. She was born in Vaucluse, S.C. and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was a member of Vaucluse Church of God; now University Parkway Church of God and a former member of Vaucluse Baptist Church. She was a licensed Cosmetologist, who worked many years and up to her failing health, enjoyed grooming her friends and relatives hair. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a “Heart of Gold” and would give you the shirt off her back if she thought you needed it. The world would be a much better place with more people like her. Needless to say, she shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 77 precious years that God granted her on this earth. Death is not the end for her as she has just made that transition to her new Heavenly home where she has now touched Calvary and is in a land of endless tomorrows, where the soul will never die, and we’ll never have to say goodbye. Yes, she has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. The family wishes to express a special “Thank You” to Donie Cook, her sitter and caregiver who stay with her during the last few months of her illness. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening, June 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service of remembrance and celebration of her life, will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Derrick S. Cutter and Rev. W. H. Bryant officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Keith Goff, Brandon Tindall, Donnie Turner, Justin Hammonds, Brian Kneece and Scott Robinson.
