Nancy Appel Scott

December 31, 1969 — July 10, 2011

SCOTT-Ms. Nancy Appel Scott, age 75, of Warrenville, S.C., wife of the late Raymond O. Scott, Sr. and daughter of the late William H. Appel, Sr. and the late Ruth Crawford Appel, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 10, 2011. She is survived by sons, Raymond O. (Sherry) Scott, Jr. and Cecil E. (Teresa) Scott both of Graniteville, S.C.; a daughter, Carol S. (Gene) Herron of Warrenville, S.C.; a brother, William H. (Woodie) Appel, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Reece; grandchildren, Dana Richardson, Jennifer S. (Shawn) Barton, Amanda S. (Brandon) Barton, Genia Herron, Kayla Scott, Rusty Scott and Bradley Scott; great grandchildren, Braylon Barton, Gracie Barton, Cameron Barton, Brianna Barton and a number of special nephews and nieces. She was a dedicated member of Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville. She worked as a foster grandparent at Warrenville and Byrd Elementary, and she also worked as a school crossing guard for the City of Aiken. She was a Cancer Survivor and always supported their programs. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt with an unconditional love for her family. She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends and all whose lives she touched during the 75 fruitful years that God granted her on this earth; however life does not end with death for a Christian lady like Ms. Scott for God has promised eternal life in a place where life and love never ends. She has just gone to receive her much deserved “Crown of Life.” A service celebrating her life and home-going will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 4:00 PM at Christian Heritage Church with Rev. Stephen Phillips officiating. The interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Aiken, S.C. The pallbearers will be Tommy Broach, Ladd Baker, Bobby Scott, Bill Scott, Thomas Scott and Tommy Proctor. The family will receive friends at Christian Heritage Church this Tuesday evening, July 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials, in Ms. Scott’s honor, may be made to Foster Grandparents Program, P. O. Box 2066, Aiken, S. C. 29802. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
