Muriel Sandra Simpkins

Mrs. Muriel Sandra Simpkins entered into rest Monday February 14, 2022.

Born in Cambridge, MA to the late Walter and Roberta Mottinger, and has made South Carolina her home for the last 7 years. Before retirement she worked as a Registered Nurse. Muriel enjoyed knitting, and taking care of stray dogs and cats. As a member of Red bank Baptist Church in Saluda, SC, she was passionate about her work with the youth group, and loved teaching Vacation Bible School. She loved her family, and her God. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend by her family, and her church family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Simpkins; her parents; and father-in-law, William Simpkins.

She is survived by her children, Donna Neal, Marc Simpkins and Jonathan (Danielle) Simpkins; grandchildren, Wayne Hutchinson Jr., Silas Seabron, Donavyn Simpkins, Conor Simpkins, Tyler Simpkins, Samantha Simpkins, and Jonathan Simpkins Jr.; great grandson, Nathaniel Seabron-Barber; mother-in-law, Ruth Simpkins; a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and her service dog Martha.

A Memorial Service, celebrating her life will be held 4 P.M. on Friday February 25, 2022 at Red Bank Baptist Church 309 E Church St, Saluda, SC 29138.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Mrs. Simpkins honor be made to the Red Bank Baptist Church Children's Program, 309 E Church St, Saluda, SC 29138.
